There are seven main chakras in the body and they go from the base of the spine to the top of the head. The first five chakras can bring balance to your life and as you look at the chakras you will see that they are each represented with a color. They flow in red, green, blue, orange, and yellow.
The third eye chakra can be indigo or purpose and if it is purple then chances are that your crown chakra will be white in color. The thing about the third eye is that it is found between your eyebrows and it means “to receive or perceive something.”
What is the Third Eye?
The third eye is part of the pineal gland, and it is found in the brain, behind the eyes. This is a small, almost pea like body part that is made of the same things that are found in the eyes. This gland has been seen as important in different religions, often being seen as a place where the soul sits.
The third eye is meant to bring wisdom and understanding of what you are doing in your life, allowing you to have inner visions. This is part of your psychic gifts and the place where things like astral dreaming takes place and your ESP.
With this chakra, you can dream and get information from the spiritual world. As your third eye is balanced, you will see that you might have visions or that you will have clear thinking. It is a place that you can use your telepathy and other psychic gifts.
But, when the third eye is imbalanced, this can cause you to have problems with your eyes, headaches, sleeping problems and anxiety. People that have a balanced third eye have a hard time being around violent or negative situations.
The Imbalanced Third Eye
If your third eye is imbalanced, you might experience:
- Being unable to concentrate.
- Feeling obsessive.
- Having bad dreams or nightmares.
- Self-evaluating yourself too much.
- Unable to focus.
- Overly religious.
- Overly analytical.
If your third eye is lacking, you might experience:
- Having no visions.
- Not being able to use your imaginations.
- Bringing up repressed memories.
- Not able to see good outcomes.
- Unable to take responsibility.
- Choosing to not learn from your mistakes.
- Being afraid to succeed.
- Not able to set goals.
When you see that you are experiencing these things then chances are that you might need to balance your third eye.
Balancing the Third Eye
There are different ways that you can make your third eye chakra strong and balanced such as:
Meditation is one of the best ways to get your third eye opened and balanced. Meditating can help you and you can do this in your room, outside in the sun or even in the moonlight.
Take time to concentrate on how you are breathing and keep your eyes closed. Think of the color purple surrounding you and try to concentrate on your third eye chakra. Be patient.
It is important to get good sleep and rest when you want your chakras to be balanced. You should get around eight hours of sleep. Put your electronics away at least an hour before you go to bed so that you can get ready for good sleep.
You can use essential oils or other aromatherapy to help open up your third eye. Here are some of the best ones to use:
