Fate and destiny are terms that are often used interchangeably, but they are not the same thing. This article will help define the differences and how to understand each in our lives.

Fate Defined

Our word fate comes from the Latin, Fatum, that means “that which has been spoken.” Due to this definition, it is now associated with what is predetermined in our lives. Fate is the idea that there is a natural order that cannot be changed, no matter what. The ancient Greeks and Romans had three goddesses that were known as the three fates and were thought to determine a person’s life path.

Fate is often spoken with negative connotations. Spiritually speaking, fate is what happens when we purposely ignore our calling in life. When we turn our loves over to fate, we are basically allowing others and circumstance to take control. We give up any control or conscious change for our lives.

Destiny Defined

Destiny tends to come across as more positive than fate. Also derived from the Latin language, Destinare, translated means “that which has been firmly established”. This also refers to predetermined happenings, destiny can be shaped and altered. There is some choice in destiny. Using things like courage, patience, will power, and even compassion can change our life destiny.

Spiritually speaking, destiny is connected to the life path. When we take responsibility in our lives, we shape our destiny. To fulfill destiny, we must consciously develop a connection to our inner selves and become more mature on all levels.

The Difference

The basic difference is that fate cannot be changed, but destiny is what we are meant to do. Fate happens when we take no responsibility for life, but destiny comes when we commit to taking chances while learning and growing. Destiny requires conscious decisions and action, but fate is dictated by outside influences.

Is Control Possible?

While fate and destiny are both predetermined, we must remember that infinite possibilities exist in life. To fulfill our destiny, we consciously direct the path, take control. So to answer the question, we do have some control over our path, but not the path options that are provided. We must take responsibility for what we can.

Fulfilling Destiny

When we consciously seek out opportunities to grow, learn, and evolve, we fulfill our destiny. To achieve this highest potential, we can do the following:

• Develop a self-understanding
• Discover our passion
• Find supportive people who offer inspiration and help
• Take risks by moving out of what is comfortable
• Identifying limiting beliefs and eliminating the negative ones
• Asking for help and support when needed
• Listing strengths so energy can be directed
• Creating goals
• Be kind to ourselves
• Being our authentic selves and asking questions about what we truly want out of life

As we work toward a deeper self-knowledge and grow, we must remember that setbacks happen. This is a normal part of growing and changing. Do not be to hard on yourself when these setbacks occur, simply get up and keep trying. DO not fall to the forces of fate, discover your destiny and grow in it.

When there is a silver lining under the white shell, this means that it is the persons strength and knowledge.  The white color that surrounds the colors is an energy of healing that is strong and can be in different shapes and sizes.  This can be used to heal people all over and can be increased by meditating.  The universe can help us when this energy is low.

The lavender color can flow from the chin to the leg and shows growth.  This is an enlighten color and has a low sound vibration when it is felt.  This is not a strong sound and does not take control of the feelings.

The blue color from the aura can flow from the feet and can give the person purpose.  This is a feeling and shows when the person is doing the right things.

The yellow color can go down the right arm and can show that the person is a good listener.  A person that has yellow keeps their promises and shares with other messages that help them.

Hazes

There can also be hazes around the aura and the one right above the aura can be a burden and can be there when work is hard or when someone is feeding on your energy.

The one around the head shows headaches and pressure and can happen when energy is full of pain.

One that is found between the orange and red chakras is when there is an issue in the body such as with digestion or with the blood.

The one over the right arm from the elbow to the wrist is where pain comes.

The one above the foot can look like smoke and can show what is happening in the life of the person.  This can be someone the is looking for change to happen.

If there is a gray area, then It is important to clean the aura and to use crystals to sweep it clean and to fix the energy.  Try meditating and getting rid of these hazy items.

Objects

If there is an orb around the aura, this shows that the spirit is being protected by another spirit.  They work to take care of you.

A crescent above someone’s head shows that they are connected to the universe and getting good energy.

A tree that is found on the upper side of the aura can mean strength and that there is a guardian around you.  This means you will have a beautiful life and that you are living in a plane that wants you to get out and be one with nature.

Though we speak directly to God through prayer, He uses angels to serve distinct duties around our lives. There are nine specific angels grouped into three choirs. They are individuals, though the hierarchy may be different for each. Angels have the ability to see well beyond our mortal, linear timelines. Seraphim

Seraphim are one of the more commonly known angels as they are closest to God. They emit a fiery, intense light to represent His love as they encircle the throne. No one, not even divine beings can look upon the seraphim as they are fiery serpents with four faces and six wings each. While only four seraphim exist, they do visit earth in tall, thin, very cleanly cut human forms.

Cherubim (Cherub)

Cherubim are the official, celestial record keepers who also hold God’s knowledge. They are often sent to earth to perform great tasks that can affect our lives. A cherubim has historically been drawn as sphinx like with human faces and wings. Zophiel, Ophaniel, and Rikbiel are cherubim, as was Satan before the fall.

Thrones

Thrones are weird, yet fascinating as part of the first grouping. They are said to resemble large wheels that are covered in eyes and serve as part of God’s chariot. Thrones dispense judgement as given out by God.

The angels included in the second choir are transitional between the world and the celestial realms. Known as heavenly governors, they try to balance out good and bad. The middle angels are considered virtuous and includes the guardian angels and archangels.

Dominions

These middle management angels take orders from seraphim and cherubim who are above them, but give orders to those below them. Hashmal is in charge and sends power to authority figures on earth to keep the cosmos in order.

Virtues

Virtues maintain the natural world as sparks of light. Inspiring beings, they help in areas of science as they take orders from the angels above them. When they allow themselves to be known on earth in physical form, it is as scientists in physics and love, artists, and healers. When Jesus ascended, virtues were said to be the angels that were seen.

Powers

Bright, hazy fumes make up the look of powers. They are the guards or patrol agents between heaven and earth. Serving as advisers for ideology, theology, and religion, some feel these angels are evil, but others say they preside over the evil ones. In any case, they are in charge of birth and death.

The final choir is possibly the best known because they are more human like than any of the others. The have the ability and propensity to sin, just as we do.

Principalities

Shaped like light rays, these overseers guide the world. In charge of politics and religion they further manage those angels who are below them as part of their expectation.

Archangels

Archangels tend to focus on matters of all humankind, not individuals. While they are guardians of people and physical things, they are the first that took human form. They are often pioneers of change in this world. They are well known by their names, Michael, Raphael, Gabriel.

Angels

Angels serve as intermediaries between individuals and God as they are specific to households and even individuals who are God fearing. Angels are nurturers who counsel and heal. Guardian angels are given to each of us.
